Seed Round Tactics: In the City and In the Valley

Join two fundraising veterans, Matt Smith from Vancouver’s Latergramme and Leif Baradoy from Victoria’s Giftbit, in their discussion of the “financing sales cycle”, and getting a seed financing round done: getting started early, developing that crisp momentum plan, navigating social relationships, structuring a round to optimize success, and giving investors the post-round love necessary to maintain engagement.

About our Guest Speakers:

Matt Smith – Founder, Latergramme

After starting two profitable, self-funded startups, Matt went on to co-found Latergramme, a visual content marketing platform that makes users great at visual marketing. Latergramme lets users aggregate, curate, schedule and optimize visual marketing campaigns across all visual social media networks and it's used by over 400,000 people and some of the world's most well-known brands including Redbull, Forbes, MTV, WSJ and Armani.

Leif Baradoy – Co-founder and CEO of Giftbit

A former professional triathlete, Leif is today the cofounder and CEO of Victoria-based Giftbit. Before starting this company, Leif worked as Marketing Director for MetaLab and Manager of Operations for UEnd.org.
